sharon temple
over the last two decades vitreous glassworks has restored the very special glazing of the sharon temple. the temple could very well be the largest collection of existing crown glass in the country. we have removed and reputtied all of the glass in wood sash of the second & third storey, plus the lanterns and the east facade of the first storey. we also reglazed all the windows of david willson’s study.
in recognition of this work we were awarded the first annual j.d. strachan award for craftsmanship from the architectural conservancy of ontario.
