ST. LEO’S PARISH – STEEL FRAME ISO-THERMAL
AS PART OF A MULTIYEAR RESTORATION PROJECT, VITREOUS GLASSWORKS RESTORED THE EXISTING MID-CENTURY STAINED GLASS. THE WINDOWS WERE THEN INSTALLED INTO NEW CUSTOM STEEL WINDOWS VENTED TO THE INTERIOR. THE ORIGINAL STEEL FRAMES WERE REFURBISHED AND FITTED WITH LAMINATED & INSULATED GLASS UNITS. THIS ISO-THERMAL GLAZING APPLICATION SATISFIED THE HERITAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EXTERIOR AND THE ACOUSTIC/THERMAL BENEFITS FOR THE CONGREGATION. BY REMOVING THE STAINED GLASS FROM ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE THE SACRED ART IS PROTECTED FOR GENERATIONS.
